Fun fact: Germany is home to the Autobahn, a famous highway system known for its sections without speed limits. While not all sections of the Autobahn are unrestricted, there are stretches where drivers can legally drive as fast as they want.

Like Belgium, Ireland doesn’t have a digital nomad visa program. The most common visa option is its Short Stay ‘C’ Visa, which only lasts 90 days. Ireland is a great remote work destination if you plan to go somewhere for three months. Another option is to apply for the Self-Employed Visa.
Fun fact: Ireland is often called the "Emerald Isle" due to its lush green landscapes. The country's mild and rainy climate and its fertile soil create the perfect conditions for vibrant green fields and rolling hills.
60. Morocco (Carte de Sejour)
Morocco is a popular remote work destination. Morocco’s rich cultural heritage, delicious cuisine, and vibrant culture is no wonder why digital nomads are flocking over. You can visit historic sites like the ancient city of Fes, and indulge in traditional dishes like tagine and couscous. From the Atlas Mountains to the Atlantic coastline, there’s so much to do in Morocco.
Morocco, however, doesn’t have a digital nomad visa program. While this is the case, you could apply for Morocco’s Carte de Sejour, which lasts a year but can be extended to 5-10 years. The tourist visa also lasts for up to 90 days.
Fun fact: Morocco is home to the largest desert in the world outside the polar regions, the Sahara Desert. It is roughly the size of the United States.
61. Netherlands (LongStay MVV Visa)
The Netherlands’ bike-friendly cities and vibrant startup scene make it ideal for a young professional who wants to work remotely! There are world-class museums like the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. During your time there, you can also indulge in famous Dutch treats like stroopwafels and bitterballen.
While the Netherlands has no official digital nomad visa program, digital nomads can opt for the Long-Stay MVV Visa to work remotely. It is a self-employed residence permit, and the procedure depends on your passport.
Fun fact: The Netherlands is known for its extensive network of canals. In fact, Amsterdam alone has more than 100 kilometers of canals.
62. Poland
Poland is an affordable choice for digital nomads. With its thriving tech scene and vibrant cities like Warsaw and Krakow, Poland is a great place to live and work. Poland truly blends modernity and history, with stunning architecture, charming old towns, and a vibrant arts and music scene.
Like the Netherlands, Poland doesn’t offer a digital nomad visa program. Digital nomads, however, can apply for the long-term Type D visa, which lasts up to a year or two. This is a freelance visa, and you might be required to have Polish clients to qualify.
Fun fact: Poland is home to the largest castle in the world by land area, the Malbork Castle. This medieval fortress, located in the town of Malbork, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
63. Serbia
With its charming cities, such as Belgrade and Novi Sad, traditional cuisine, and low cost of living, remote workers can expect to live, work, and explore comfortably. The country's reliable internet connectivity and growing number of coworking spaces also make it ideal for remote work.
Serbia is a great choice for those seeking an affordable yet culturally rich remote work experience. There are four visa options for digital nomads in Serbia: transit visa, short-term C visa, long-term D visa, and permanent stay visa.

65. Taiwan (Employment Gold Card)

While Taiwan doesn’t officially have a digital nomad visa, digital nomads (and the self-employed) can apply for the Taiwan Employment Gold Card.

Adventure-seeking digital nomads can enjoy Tanzania’s rich history, culture, and local traditions with over 120 ethnic groups.
Tanzania has no official digital nomad visa but offers a Class C Business Visa. With this visa, you can enter Tanzania multiple times for up to 90 days per visit. You can extend their stay for an additional six months if you want.
Fun fact: Tanzania is home to the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Standing at an impressive height of 5,895 meters (19,341 feet).
67. Thailand (Smart Visa)
Working remotely in Thailand, you can enjoy delicious street food and various activities like diving. There’s also a large community of expats. Thailand's rich cultural heritage, from ancient temples to bustling markets, provides excellent opportunities for cultural exploration.
Fun fact: Thailand is home to the world's largest outdoor market, Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok. Spanning over 35 acres, the market features over 15,000 stalls selling various goods, including clothing, accessories, handicrafts, and delicious street food.
While Thailand doesn’t officially have a digital nomad visa program, there are certain visas digital nomads can apply for, especially if they’re self-employed. This includes the Smart visa.
68. United Kingdom
The UK is a vibrant and dynamic country to live and work in. With cities like London, Edinburgh, and Manchester, you can access numerous coworking spaces, cafes, and networking opportunities. During your free time, you can also explore historic landmarks, visit world-class museums and galleries, and experience the arts and entertainment scene.
The UK currently doesn’t run a digital nomad visa program. If you plan to work remotely in the UK, you can opt for the Standard Visitor Visa, which allows you to live in the UK for up to 6 months, or the Young Mobility Scheme Visa. This allows you to work remotely and work for a UK employer while the Standard Visitor Visa doesn’t.
Fun fact: The United Kingdom is home to the world's oldest underground railway system, the London Underground or the Tube. It first opened in 1863 and is now one of the most extensive and iconic subway networks in the world.
